We all want our children to grow up to be happy healthy adults, whatever their weight it is important that children eat well, move more and live longer.

Give your child 5 portions a day of different coloured fruit and vegetables. Decrease the amount of saturated fat in their diet. Watch the amount of salt and sugar in foods. Get moving for 60 minutes a day, this doesn’t have to be in all one go and doesn’t have to be sports – walking and playing count too. Have regular mealtimes including breakfast every day. Think me size meals, portion control is important giving smaller portions initially they can always ask for more. Keep count of the amount of snacks in a day.
