Infant feeding Peer Support Lancashire

The NCT Peer Support service is commissioned by Lancashire County Council and works alongside HCRG Care Group and the NHS to provide a infant feeding peer support service (run by mums for mums). Alongside your Midwife and Health Visitor, they can offer evidence-based information and guidance on a number of areas related to infant feeding.

Infant feeding support group available at Helme Chase Maternity, Westmorland Hospital – Monday’s 1.30-4pm.

Medication & Breastfeeding – “Taking medication does not usually mean that a mother has to stop breastfeeding temporarily or permanently. The advantages of breastmilk should never be underestimated nor should the wishes of a mother to continue to breastfeed and the right of the infant to continue to receive it.
